Compress a PDF. Keep it on your computer.
Shrink any PDF without dragging it through a stranger’s server. Drop the file, tune the quality, and your browser hands the smaller version back as a local download. Nothing leaves your device — open DevTools and watch for yourself.

The tool
Drop it in, watch the size fall, grab the smaller file.
Lower JPEG quality = smaller output. The page render scale controls the resolution each page is sampled at before being re-compressed into a fresh PDF.
Source
Lower = smaller file. 0.6 is balanced; 0.7+ keeps sharper text; 0.3 is the floor.
Higher = sharper pages but heavier output. 1.5× is the default for screen reading.
Result
Pick a PDF on the left and press Compress PDF. Before / after sizes and the download link land here.
How it works
Three steps. No upload stage.
The flow is the same as every other PDF5 tool. Familiar enough to hand to a colleague without a tutorial.
- STEP 01
Drop your PDF
Drag-and-drop the file or pick it from the picker. The browser opens it locally with the File API — no upload.
- STEP 02
Compress in browser
Pages are rasterized to canvases, re-encoded as JPEG at your chosen quality, and stitched back into a fresh PDF inside the open-source PDF-lib engine.
- STEP 03
Download the smaller file
Your browser hands you the finished file straight from memory. Before / after sizes and the percent saved appear in the panel.
